Snake Classic
Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 August 2026 · Applies to the Snake Classic mobile game for Android and iOS
The short version.
Snake Classic has no accounts and no sign-in, and we run no servers of our own. Your settings and high scores stay on your phone and are never sent anywhere.
The app does include Google and Microsoft tools that collect usage, crash and advertising data to keep the game working and to show ads. Those are described in full below.
Who we are
Snake Classic is published by Vikram Chaudhary. If you have any question about this policy or about your data, write to chaudharyvikram3274@gmail.com and we will reply.
What stays on your phone
The following never leaves your device. It is held in the operating system's own app storage and is deleted when you uninstall the game:
- Your sound and vibration preferences
- Your chosen control scheme and colour palette
- Your selected speed level and maze
- Your high score table
We cannot see any of it, and there is no way to recover it if you uninstall the game or reset your phone.
What is collected, and why
Snake Classic uses services from Google and Microsoft. These collect data directly and send it to their own systems — we never receive a copy that identifies you personally.
| Service | What it collects | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Advertising ID, device type and settings, IP address, and how you interact with ads | To show ads and to prevent ad fraud |
| Firebase Analytics | Screens viewed, rounds started and ended, your score and snake length, chosen level and maze, device model, operating system, language and approximate country | To understand how the game is played and what to improve |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reports, including the state of the app and device at the time, and the level and maze you were playing | To find and fix crashes |
| Firebase Remote Config | A randomly generated installation identifier and basic device details | To deliver settings to the app without a new release |
| Microsoft Clarity | Anonymised recordings of screen interactions — taps and navigation within the game | To see where the game is confusing or awkward to play |
Advertising ID
On Android the app requests your device's advertising ID. This is a resettable identifier used for advertising and analytics, and it is not tied to your name or account.
On iOS, Snake Classic does not ask for permission to track you across other apps and websites, and does not access Apple's advertising identifier.
What we never collect
- Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
- Your precise location
- Your contacts, photos, messages or files
- Any payment information — the game has no purchases
Snake Classic has no login and no user accounts, so there is no profile of you held anywhere.
Who processes your data
Each service handles the data it collects under its own privacy policy:
- Google (AdMob and Firebase) — policies.google.com/privacy and firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Microsoft (Clarity) — privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement
These companies operate internationally, so data may be processed outside your country under their own safeguards.
Your choices
Advertising
On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time under Settings › Privacy › Ads. Deleting it stops personalised advertising across all apps on your device.
On iOS, no tracking permission is requested, so ads are not personalised using an Apple advertising identifier.
Stopping collection altogether
Uninstalling Snake Classic stops all collection and removes everything the game has stored on your phone.
Access and deletion
Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in Europe and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act in India — you may have the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted.
Write to chaudharyvikram3274@gmail.com and we will pass the request on to the relevant service. Because the game holds no account, please include the approximate date you played and the device you used so the request can be matched.
Children
Snake Classic is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided data through the game, write to chaudharyvikram3274@gmail.com and it will be removed.
How long data is kept
We do not store your data ourselves. Each service keeps what it collects for its own retention period — typically between two and fourteen months for analytics and advertising data. Their policies, linked above, set out the specifics.
Security
All data sent by the game travels over encrypted connections. No method of transmission is completely secure, but the game collects nothing sensitive and holds no account you could lose.
Changes to this policy
If the game changes what it collects, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's store listing.
